About Micro Ring Extensions

Micro Ring (I-Tip) is one of the most controllable methods in the range, a bead-and-strand system that gives you precise placement, clean refits and a genuinely reusable set. Here's what you need to know to fit it well.

Suitability

Micro Rings sit best on normal to dense hair, where there's enough surrounding hair to conceal the ring and carry the weight of the strand. They're not the method for fine to very fine hair, where the bead can show through and the natural hair may not support the tension, nor for clients wanting significant density built up around the face or fringe, those areas are finer and more exposed, and better served by another method. Reading a client's density and hairline correctly at consultation is what keeps the fit invisible and comfortable, so it's worth assessing both before recommending the method.

Wear Time

Expect around 3 months of wear before a full refit, though this flexes with the amount fitted and the length chosen, longer, heavier sets grow out faster and may want attention sooner. Because the same hair is reused, you're refitting rather than replacing, and a well-cared-for set can be moved up multiple times across its life.

A Permanent, Reusable Method

Micro Rings are a permanent method in the sense that they stay in between salon visits, but nothing about the fit is irreversible, there's no glue, no heat and no bonding agent, so both application and removal are straightforward and comfortable. The strand simply clamps in and releases cleanly, which is what makes the hair reusable, the method safe on the natural hair, and the overall cost-per-wear an ethical, economical choice for your clients over time.

Maintenance

A correctly fitted set is low-maintenance: no shedding, no loss of volume, and the client can wash and style exactly as they did before. With no adhesive or heat involved, it's also an easy method to reassure any client who's hesitant about the process; there's nothing sealed to their hair, and the rings can be repositioned or removed at any point.

Our Micro Rings

We manufacture our own Micro Rings, engineered smaller and safer than standard beads, and colour-fast so they won't shed their coating onto the hair. Once clamped, they flatten completely, so the connection sits flush, discreet and comfortable against the head. We stock a range of colours and sizes so you can match the ring to each client, colour to their base, size to their density, giving you control over how discreet and secure each fitting is. A smaller ring on finer sections, a wider one where strands have flattened at refit: that adjustability is what produces a truly natural result.

You'll find our Micro Rings in the tools section of the website, available in Blonde, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown and Black.

A Note on Safety

Our Micro Ring method uses a small copper ring, and we'd advise making clients aware of the warning label attached to the product. The method isn't suitable where there's a known or suspected prior skin reaction to metals, and we recommend performing a patch test on every client ahead of fitting.

The Hair

We source the finest hair for salon-professional use only, carefully blending multi-tonal shades to give a more realistic, true-to-life colour match, distinct highs and lows through the strand rather than a single flat tone, so the fitted hair reads as naturally as the client's own.
