Micro Ring (I-Tip) extensions are applied strand by strand, with each strand secured by a single micro ring, no glue, no heat. A full head typically uses 100–200 strands depending on the client's density and the length fitted, and the hair is available in 14", 18" and 22" to suit everything from a subtle boost to a dramatic length change. A set lasts around 3 months before a refit and, because the hair is fully reusable, it can be moved up multiple times across its life.
We manufacture our own Micro Rings, engineered smaller and safer than standard beads and colour-fast, so they won't shed their coating onto the hair. Once clamped, they flatten completely, so the connection sits flush, discreet and comfortable against the head. We stock a range of ring colours so you can match to the client's base, and three ring sizes so you can match to their hair length and to the stage of wear:
- Size 1: 3.1mm, for fitting 14" strands, and for first fittings of 18" strands.
- Size 2: 3.3mm, for refits of 18" strands where the tip has flattened, and for first fittings of 22" strands.
- Size 3: 3.5mm, for refits of 22" strands that have flattened during wear.
Sizing up by 0.2mm at each refit is what lets the ring grip a flattened tip securely, keeping the fit as discreet and comfortable at refit as it was on day one.
The method has become a salon favourite precisely because no glue or heat is involved, reassuring for any client hesitant about extensions, since there's nothing bonded to their hair and the rings can be repositioned or removed at any point. A correctly fitted set doesn't shed, holds its volume as well at month 3 as on day 1, and lets clients wash and style exactly as they did before.
Every I-Tip shade is hand-blended and multi-tonal, with distinct highs and lows through the strand for a true-to-life match straight from the pack. With over 55 shades in the range, spanning the full natural spectrum, there's a match for virtually any base:
- Bright blondes like Ash (C18) and Faith (C17): cool and clean for lifted bases.
- Rooted, sun-kissed blends like Boho (C13) and Penny (C16): grown-out roots melting into brighter lengths.
- Deep brunettes like Lara (1A), Raven (1B2) and Harmony (3): neutral dark through to warm, glossy chocolate.
- Warm coppers like Ray (30), Ember (33) and Chestnut (433): natural copper through to deep auburn.
