Soft Mocha Balayage

Soft Mocha Balayage

This look from Unbeweaveable started with thick but flat, frizz-prone hair and finished as long, glossy waves with a soft mocha balayage running through the lengths. The density and the seamless colour melt are what make it work, both down to how the weft was laid and blended.

Weft is the method for adding volume and length quickly. Our hybrid weft is based on the traditional hand-tied design, refined into a fine, fully seamless weft with no return hair and no knots at the seam, so it lies flatter and sits more comfortably than a standard weft. The durable seal lets you cut to size at any point along the weft for a custom fit, and the full, thick ends come as standard, so volume holds through to the tips rather than thinning out.

As with a hand-tied weft, you layer the hybrid wefts to build a bespoke match, placing shades where the dimension needs to fall. This soft mocha was blended from two tones, worked through one another for a balayage that reads as natural depth rather than a flat block of colour:

Mocha - C2: a rich, deep brown with ashy ends, that grounds the root and lengths.
Cindy - 5: a softer, cooler brown that lifts through the mid-lengths and ends, giving the balayage its melt.

With no return hair or knotting at the seam, the weft sits flush to the head and tucks under the client's own hair, with no visible band. The hair is 100% cuticle-correct, cold-water processed, so the cuticle stays intact, which is where the shine through the finished waves comes from.

The same seamless weft and layered-colour approach carries across the spectrum, warm honey blonde through to deep brunettes.

Extension Lounge 01, C9 + C21, Weft: a bright, golden blonde with soft, lived-in movement.
Akai London, C2 + C16, Weft: a warm, melted bronde with depth through the root and lighter ends.
Charlotte Kent, C5 + W11, Weft: a cool, ashy blonde balayage with rich dimension.
